Waxing FAQs
I’m new. What waxing service can I book?
New clients can book standalone waxing appointments for Brazilian Wax and Full Leg Wax only. Smaller waxing areas become available as add-ons once another eligible service has been selected.
Why can’t I book smaller waxing areas by themselves?
Smaller waxing areas are offered as add-ons so appointments stay efficient and aligned with the way TGS bookings are structured.
What is the difference between a Bikini, Extended Bikini and Brazilian Wax?
A Bikini Wax tidies the sides of the bikini line.
An Extended Bikini Wax removes more hair than a standard bikini wax, without being a full Brazilian.
A Brazilian Wax removes most or all hair from the intimate area, depending on your preference.
How long should my hair be before waxing?
For best results, your hair should be around the length of a grain of rice. If you’ve been shaving, allow around 3 to 4 weeks of growth before your appointment.
Can I wax if I’m pregnant?
Yes, waxing can usually be performed during pregnancy, but your skin may feel more sensitive. Please let me know if you’re pregnant so I can adjust positioning, comfort and technique where needed.
Can I wax while using active skincare?
It depends on the area and products you’re using. If you use retinol, vitamin A, prescription acne products, strong exfoliants or active skincare, please let me know before facial waxing.
Can I wax while on Roaccutane?
No. Waxing is not suitable while taking Roaccutane or for a period after finishing, as the skin can be more fragile and prone to lifting. Please let me know before booking so we can discuss safer options.
What should I avoid after waxing?
Avoid hot showers, saunas, swimming, sweating, exfoliation, fake tan, active skincare and tight clothing over the waxed area for 24 to 48 hours.
How often should I book waxing?
Most clients rebook every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the area, hair growth and maintenance goals.
