This is ideal if you’re not ready for a treatment yet but want expert guidance on your skin.
Can I have treatments while on Roaccutane/isotretinoin?
For your safety, brow lamination is not suitable during treatment or for 6 months after. Waxing may also be unsuitable — I’ll always patch test and suggest gentler options like trimming or tweezing.
THE GOLD STANDARD
Skin Treatment Aftercare Perth
What should I do in the first 72 hours after my advanced facial?
The first three days are all about protecting your skin while it’s in active renewal. To maximise results and prevent irritation:
- Avoid heat or steam — no hot showers, spas, saunas, or sweaty workouts.
- Pause actives like Vitamin A (retinol), AHAs, BHAs, and Vitamin C.
- No makeup for at least 12 hours.
- Wear SPF 50+ daily — non-negotiable, as your skin will be photosensitive.
- Stick to a gentle or milk cleanser + hydrating serums / nourishing creams
What should I do between days 3–7 after my advanced facial?
At this stage, your skin is still turning over. You can:
- Start gentle exfoliation with Dermapolish (1–2x/week) to remove loosened skin cells and support renewal.
- Barrier support is your best friend: keep skin well-hydrated with Skin ResQ, Hyaluronic Acid, and a nourishing moisturiser.
- SPF 50+ daily, your skin is still photosensitive.
- Hold off on strong actives (Vit A/Retinol, AHAs, BHAs, Vit C) unless we’ve already discussed your plan.
This is when you’ll start seeing smoother texture, even tone, and that fresh post-facial glow.
What should I expect after a skin treatment?
Each skin responds differently, but here’s what’s normal:
- Mild tingling, warmth, or tightness for up to 24 hours.
- Temporary flaking or dryness around days 3–5 as dead cells shed.
- Possible purging (breakouts) if we worked deeply on congestion — this is temporary.
- If you had an alkaline wash, some redness or puffiness can occur as a mild histamine response and usually settles quickly.
Concerned? Apply a cool compress, use calming products (Skin ResQ) and avoid heat for 24 hours. If needed, taking an antihistamine (like Telfast or Claratyne) can help
How do I maintain results after my advanced skin treatment?
- Keep up your barrier care: cleanse + hydrate + SPF every day.
- Introduce actives slowly and only once your skin barrier feels strong again.
- Exfoliate 1–2x/week to maintain smoothness and support healthy turnover.
When do I rebook my next facial?
For long-term skin health and visible results, most clients thrive with treatments every 4 weeks. Regular treatments keep your skin cycle optimised and results building.

Brow Lamination Aftercare Perth
What should I do in the first 24–48 hours after my brow lamination?
In the first 1–2 days, it’s crucial to keep your brows dry and protected while the new shape settles in. Avoid water, steam, saunas, sweaty workouts, makeup, and skincare actives on the brow area. Try not to touch your brows or sleep face-down. This ensures your lamination holds evenly and lasts longer.
What should I do after the first 48 hours of brow lamination?
After the setting phase, your brows can be styled daily. Gently brush them upward with your Vitamin Lash & Brow Serum (by MyLamination) morning and night to hydrate and strengthen the hairs. If you’ve had tint, avoid scrubbing directly over the brows to extend colour life.
Make sure you brush brows upward after wetting them to ensure they dry in your desired direction. For an easy routine and all day hold, use Alias Brow Gel (by Brow Code) to set them in place. If you had tint with avoid washing your brows — pat dry gently after cleansing to prolong stain.
What should I expect after a brow lamination treatment?
Immediately, your brows will look fuller, fluffier, and more defined. Over time you may notice:
- Tint fading gradually as your skin naturally exfoliates.
- Brows brushing into place more easily, though without daily hydration they may look wavy or messy.
- Results lasting 6–8 weeks, depending on hair type, growth cycle, and at-home care.
- If your natural hair grows downward, some “L-shaped” regrowth may appear from week 3 — completely normal.
What are adverse reactions I may experience after brow lamination?
Non-ideal reactions are uncommon, but possible. These include:
- Redness, itching, or flaking skin persisting beyond 24 hours (possible sensitivity).
- Dryness or brittleness if hydration is skipped.
- Uneven texture or frizz if serum isn’t used regularly or brows were overprocessed.
If you notice swelling, pain, or ongoing irritation, stop using actives and contact me for guidance.
How do I maintain results between brow lamination appointments?
Keep brows hydrated and styled daily:
- Use a conditioning serum morning and night.
- Style with Alias Brow Gel or a Brow Pencil for definition.
- Avoid over-exfoliating skincare on the brow area to prevent fading and dryness.
- No tweezing between appointments — leave shaping to me so your results stay balanced.
- Book a Brow Revival after 4 weeks
to maintain your shape, colour, hair health and definition.
Can brow lamination damage my natural brows?
When performed correctly, lamination does not damage the hair. The process temporarily softens disulfide bonds inside each hair to allow reshaping, before reforming them in their new position. Damage only occurs if treatments are done too frequently, if perming solutions have over processed, hydration is neglected, or harsh topicals (like retinol) are used over brows.
✨ The TGS Difference: At TGS Beauty & Skin, every lamination is a 10-step process that includes repair balms, vitamin masks, conditioners, and serums to keep brows nourished during and after the process. This ensures your brows remain healthy, flexible, and glossy long after your appointment.
When should I rebook my brow lamination in Perth?
Rebook every 6–8 weeks to maintain your lamination and shape. Waiting longer isn’t harmful, but new regrowth will eventually replace laminated hairs, meaning your brows return to their natural direction. Regular laminations ensure consistent fullness, lift, and effortless styling.
THE GOLD STANDARD
Lash Lift Aftercare Perth
What should I do in the first 24 hours after my lash lift?
The first day is crucial for your lift to set properly. Keep your lashes completely dry — no water, steam, swimming, or saunas. Avoid mascara, lash curlers, rubbing, or sleeping face-down. Following these steps ensures your lash lift lasts as long as possible.
What should I do to maintain my lash lift after the first 24 hours?
Once your lashes have set, you can return to your usual routine with some added TLC:
- Apply a conditioning lash serum morning and night to keep lashes hydrated, flexible, and strong.
- Be gentle when removing makeup — avoid rubbing or tugging at your lash line.
- Skip waterproof mascara and curlers, as both can weaken lashes or shorten your results.
What should I expect after my lash lift?
- Your lashes will continue to settle into their final shape — most clients notice peak curl and definition around day 2–21.
- It’s normal for lashes to feel a little drier at first, which is why I recommend using a lash serum morning and night to restore hydration and flexibility.
- From around the 3-week mark, you’ll start to see your natural lash cycle — new baby lashes growing through as older ones shed. This is completely normal and is why rebooking every 8 weeks keeps your results looking fresh.
What are adverse reactions I may experience after a lash lift?
Lash lifts are generally safe, but as with any chemical service, non-ideal reactions can happen. These may include:
- Mild redness, stinging, or watery eyes immediately after treatment (usually settles quickly).
- Dryness or brittleness in lashes if hydration isn’t maintained with a serum.
- Uneven lift or kinked lashes if lashes are rubbed or get wet too soon after treatment.
- Allergic reactions (rare) — swelling, persistent redness, or irritation of the eyelids.
If you experience swelling, burning, or prolonged irritation, contact me straight away. For mild dryness, daily use of a conditioning serum will restore flexibility and strength.
How do I maintain results after my lash lift?
- Use a conditioning lash serum daily.
- Avoid waterproof mascara (it’s too drying and hard to remove). If you love mascara, choose a water-based or keratin-infused formula like my favourite mascara.
- Always remove eye makeup gently, no rubbing and no harsh cleansers.
- If you use a lash curler, put it away. You won't need it and using it could damage your lashes.
Can a lash lift damage my natural lashes?
When performed professionally and cared for properly, a lash lift does not damage the natural lash. The process works by temporarily softening the disulfide bonds inside each lash hair, reshaping them around a silicone shield, then re-forming the bonds in their new curled position.
The TGS Difference: At TGS Beauty & Skin, every lash lift is paired with conditioning balms and nourishing masks. Treatments are spaced at least 6–8 weeks apart to protect the natural lash cycle, and I guide each client with product recommendations for at-home care. This means your lashes stay strong, soft, and healthy — not just beautifully lifted.
When do I rebook my next lash lift?
Rebook every 6–8 weeks to maintain consistent curl and definition. Waiting longer isn’t harmful — it simply means your new lashes will grow through straight, replacing the lifted ones. For consistent, effortless mornings, regular lifts keep your lashes looking their best.

Brow Wax & Tint Aftercare Perth
What should I do in the first 24 hours after a brow wax & tint?
For the first day, your brows and skin need a little extra care. Keep the brow area dry — no swimming, steam, spas, or sweaty workouts. Avoid makeup, skincare actives, or fake tan on the brow area. Do not touch, rub, or pick the skin, as waxing temporarily opens pores and increases sensitivity. Avoid sun exposure as your skin is more prone to pigment and irritation post-wax.
What should I expect after my brow wax & tint?
Immediately, your brows will look tidy, fuller, and more defined. Over the next few days you may notice:
- Colour fading gradually as your skin naturally exfoliates.
- Tint longevity: 3–5 days on the skin, up to 4 weeks on the brow hairs.
- Dye longevity: 4–7 days on the skin, up to 7 weeks on the brow hairs.
- Longevity always depends on your skin type, hair type, and aftercare routine — oily skin, frequent swimming, or exfoliation will cause faster fading.
Why do I sometimes get breakouts or whiteheads after a brow wax?
When we wax, we remove not just the hair but also the very top layer of skin cells (the stratum corneum). This is why freshly waxed skin often feels super smooth — but it also means the skin barrier is temporarily more open. At the same time, the sudden removal of hair from the follicle stimulates oil flow (sebum production). For some clients, that oil can get trapped in the now-empty follicle, especially if the skin produces more sebum naturally or if heavy products are applied too soon after waxing.
This combination — increased oil flow + an open follicle + a temporarily weakened barrier — can lead to tiny whiteheads (folliculitis) or breakouts in the days following treatment. It’s not “dirt” or “unclean skin” — it’s simply your skin responding to the process.
How we minimise this at TGS:
- I use soothing, barrier-supporting products post-wax to calm the skin and reduce inflammation.
- I recommend avoiding makeup, heavy creams, or active skincare on the area for 24 hours, giving the follicle time to close and recover.
- For clients prone to breakouts, I’ll adapt the treatment (gentler wax, extra calming care, or tweezing where needed).
With the right care, these reactions are temporary and rare — and your brows will settle into their new shape beautifully.
How do I maintain my brow wax & dye results?
Avoid wasing directly over the brow area, as this will fade your tint faster. Gently pat dry after cleansing — no scrubbing. Use a brow gel or pencil to extend and enhance colour definition between appointments. Resist the urge to tweeze or trim between appointments — maintaining the shape is part of your results.
Why does skin lift after a brow wax, and how can I prevent skin lifting when waxing?
Skin lifting after waxing (sometimes called a “wax burn”) happens when more than just the hair and dead skin are removed — a small layer of living skin cells is lifted too. This is most common in the brow area, where skin is thin and sensitive.
Why it happens:
- Using strong skincare like retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or Roaccutane makes skin fragile.
- Certain medications (like Roaccutane / isotretinoin, recent antibiotics, or blood thinners) can make skin too delicate for waxing.
- Sunburn, tanning, or very dry skin weakens the barrier.
- Natural sensitivity around the eyes makes the skin more prone to lifting.
What it looks like:
- Pink, raw patches or scabbing in the brow area.
- Tenderness, peeling, or a shiny “burn” effect.
How to prevent skin lifting from waxing:
- Stop using strong actives (retinol, acids) at least 5–7 days before your wax.
- Avoid waxing if you’re on Roaccutane or isotretinoin (unsafe during and 6 months after).
- Don’t wax over sunburnt or freshly tanned skin.
- Keep skin hydrated in the lead-up — healthy, moisturised skin is more resilient.
- Always let me know about your skincare and medications on your consultation form.
THE GOLD STANDARD
Body Waxing Aftercare
What should I do in the first 24–48 hours after body waxing?
Your skin is more sensitive right after waxing, so a little extra care will keep it calm and smooth:
- Avoid heat: no hot showers, baths, saunas, steam rooms, or sweaty workouts.
- Skip swimming: chlorine and salt can irritate freshly waxed skin.
- Wear loose clothing: breathable fabrics prevent friction and ingrowns.
- No heavy or perfumed skincare: avoid oils, retinol, acids (AHAs/BHAs), and Vitamin C.
- Avoid sun exposure: waxed skin is more vulnerable to UV damage.
- Hands off: no scratching, rubbing, or picking at the area.
- Facial waxing? Hold off on makeup for 12–24 hrs to reduce breakouts or irritation.
What reactions are normal after waxing?
- Mild redness or sensitivity for up to 48 hrs.
- Warmth, puffiness, or blotchiness – often a short-lived histamine response.
- These usually settle quickly with a cool compress or an antihistamine (like Telfast/Claratyne) if needed.
If irritation persists beyond 48 hrs, contact me for personalised advice.
How do I prevent ingrown hairs after waxing?
- Begin gentle exfoliation 2–3 days post-wax with an exfoliating mitt or mild scrub, 2–3x weekly.
- Follow with a fragrance-free moisturiser or barrier cream to keep skin supple.
- Consistency is key – this stops hairs from curling back under the skin.
When should I rebook my waxing appointment?
- Most clients rebook every 4–6 weeks to stay on cycle.
- Regular waxing encourages finer, sparser regrowth and keeps results smoother for longer.
What products do you recommend after waxing?
- Gentle exfoliating mitt (from 2–3 days post-wax).
- Skin ResQ or a soothing, fragrance-free moisturiser.
- For breakout-prone skin: I may suggest a targeted calming or antibacterial product.

Couldn’t recommend Jess enough! Have to praise her professionalism - her space feels welcoming, clean. I wouldn’t go back to a chain salon now. Results from waxing are brilliant.

Meet Jessica
2017
Beauty Career Begins
I’ve loved all things beauty for as long as I can remember — makeup, massages, lashes, the lot. For years, I dreamt of having my own salon from home so I could one day be a present mum and still work.
I put it off for years out of fear. But in 2017, something shifted. I finally took the leap and enrolled in my Diploma of Beauty Therapy while still working full-time at Bakers Delight. Terrifying? Yep. But my only regret was not starting earlier.

2018
First Salon Job
I was offered my first salon job in December 2017 and by April, I was full-time, had left the bakery, and was still studying after hours.
I was officially in the beauty world — and learning fast. Including the very real lesson that not everyone should be allowed near your brows. Let’s just say… I’m still mentally recovering from the skinny brow era... 😅
2019
Skin Training Begins
2019 was a huge growth year — I was promoted to assistant manager and began diving deep into skin revision. I was loving it. Learning, growing, thriving.
2020
Beauty Industry Wake Up Call
In 2020, the industry’s deeper challenges became harder to ignore — and the effects of COVID only amplified them. It revealed how fast-paced, high-pressure environments could lose sight of what truly matters: care, connection, and quality.
That was the moment everything shifted for me. I knew I wanted to do things differently — to create a space where intention, presence, and genuine care weren’t just extras… they were the foundation.
That’s when the idea for TGS really started to take shape.
2021
TGS Officially Launches
At the end of 2021, I finally backed myself and quit my job.
After years of dreaming, second-guessing, and convincing myself to “wait for the right time,” I realised there’s no such thing. So, I started TGS — a home salon setup in my spare room, created with love, intention, and a bit of blind faith.
No rushing. Top quality products. Just me, my clients, and the kind of care I’d always wanted to give.
2022
Home Salon Build
In 2022, we started building our dream home — and with it, the dream version of TGS. No more converted bedrooms. I finally had the chance to design a space just for my clients and the rituals we’d create together.
From layout to lighting, every decision was made with intention.
2023
TGS Turns Two
In 2023, TGS turned two — and went on a month-long trip to France. Somewhere between the croissants and cobblestone streets, Andrew proposed!
I came back engaged, recharged, and even more certain about what I wanted TGS to stand for: timeless beauty, thoughtful rituals, and self-care that fills you up — not just your schedule.
2024
Hammond Park Salon
In 2024, we moved into our forever home — complete with a custom-built salon designed to feel like a warm hug. Every corner was crafted with care, right down to the luxe textures and soft lighting.
I also married my best friend, and we added Archie (our adorably needy sausage dog) to the family. A big year of highs, lows and everything in between.

2025
Bundled Services Launch
This year came with personal challenges that reminded me to slow down and focus on what truly matters. That same clarity flowed into TGS. I simplified everything — no fluff, just what clients really need: convenience without compromise.
We officially shifted to premium beauty bundles — brows, lashes, and facials in one seamless appointment. Less decision fatigue. Streamlined. Expert care, always.
Always upkeeping the gold standard. And we’re just getting started.
