You've just had your brow lamination and your brows look incredible. Fuller, fluffier, perfectly lifted — exactly what you wanted.
Now comes the part that determines how long that lasts.
Brow lamination aftercare is genuinely important. The first 24 hours in particular make a real difference to how well the lamination sets, how long it holds and how healthy your brow hairs stay between appointments. Here's exactly what to do — and what to avoid.
The first 24 hours — the most important window
The lamination is still setting in the hours after your appointment. During this time your brows need to stay dry, undisturbed and away from anything that could interfere with the setting process.
Keep brows completely dry No water, steam, sweat or humidity. That means no swimming, no saunas, no intense exercise and no steamy showers for the first 24 hours. Even washing your face — keep water away from the brow area.
No brow makeup Skip brow pencils, pomades, gels and any other products directly on the brows for the first 24 hours. You don't need them anyway — your brows should be sitting perfectly.
Don't touch them It's tempting, especially when they look so good. But transferring oils from your fingers to freshly laminated brows can interfere with the setting process and clog open pores. Hands off.
Avoid sun exposure and high heat Stay out of direct sun and away from heat sources like saunas and hot yoga for the first 24 hours.
Avoid other eye treatments No facials, lash treatments or anything else around the eye area for at least 48 hours after your lamination.
Days 2–3 — easing back in
Rinse gently with warm water After 24 hours you can rinse your brows with warm water — but no cleanser directly on the brow area yet. Give it another day or two before you go back to your normal cleansing routine around that area.
Still no active skincare on the brows Retin-A, AHAs, BHAs and exfoliating products around the brow area should be avoided for at least 3 days post-treatment. These can irritate the skin and affect how the lamination wears.
Hold off on fake tan Wait at least 48 hours before applying self-tanning products to your face — fake tan on freshly laminated brows can cause uneven staining.
Ongoing — keeping your results lasting
Start using your serum From 24 hours after your appointment, apply the MyLamination Vitamin Lash & Brow Serum morning and night. This is the single most effective thing you can do to extend your lamination results — it restores proteins, boosts moisture levels and keeps your brow hairs strong and healthy between appointments.
Clients who use the serum consistently typically get the full 8 weeks from their lamination. Those who don't often find results start to fade at 5–6 weeks.
Add the Growth Oil at night The Brow Code Gold Nourishing Growth Oil applied at night hydrates, smooths and promotes new hair growth. Layer it over your serum as the last step in your evening routine.
Brush your brows daily A clean spoolie brushed through your brows each morning keeps them sitting in the right direction and distributes product evenly. This takes about ten seconds and makes a noticeable difference to how polished your brows look day to day.
Stop serums 3 days before your next lamination When you're approaching your next appointment — typically at 6–8 weeks — stop using the Vitamin Serum and Growth Oil 3 days beforehand. This allows the lamination chemicals to penetrate more effectively, giving you a better, longer-lasting result.
What to use on your brows between appointments
The right products depend on where you are in your lamination cycle. Here's a simple guide:
Weeks 1–2: Brow Bible Lift & Lock Brow Wax for maximum hold. Serum and Growth Oil morning and night.
Weeks 3–4: Brow Code Alias Brow Lamination Gel for shape, layered with Brow Code Tinted Multi-Peptide Brow Gel for colour.
Weeks 4–6: Tinted Multi-Peptide Brow Gel on its own is usually enough at this stage.
Weeks 6–8: Switch back to Lift & Lock Brow Wax as the lift starts to relax. Add Brow Code Imitations Micro Pencil or Creamades Pomade for definition.

When to book your next appointment
Brow Lamination: every 6–8 weeks Brow Lamination Maintenance (shape, colour and health support between full laminations): from 4 weeks after your last lamination
If your brows are feeling dry or weakened between appointments — a common sign of over-processing from previous laminations elsewhere — the Brow Lamination Maintenance appointment includes a repair mask and serum infusion specifically designed to restore condition.
Frequently asked questions
My brows feel stiff after lamination — is that normal? Yes — they soften within 24–48 hours as the product settles. Don't try to brush them into a different position during this time.
Can I wash my face normally after 24 hours? Yes, but be gentle around the brow area and avoid cleansers with active ingredients directly on the brows for the first 3 days.
My colour faded faster than expected — why? Colour longevity is affected by oily skin, swimming, sun exposure and using oil-based products around the brow area. The Tinted Multi-Peptide Brow Gel helps extend colour between appointments.
Can I get my brows wet at the gym? After 24 hours — yes. But excessive sweat and steam in the first week can affect how long the lift holds, so it's worth being mindful early on.
What if I have a reaction after my lamination? Contact me directly. Mild redness that settles within a few hours is normal. Prolonged redness, swelling or irritation that doesn't settle should be assessed — get in touch and I'll advise on next steps.
